Illustrations And Indexes
The Research Libraries' enormous holdings of pre-1900 lavishly illustrated
zoologies and botanies are shelved in the Central and Annex stacks, the
Rare Books Division, and other special collections. Because these primary
sources are often extremely fragile, as well as rare and valuable, it is
suggested that facsimile editions and sources containing reproductions and
modern illustrations be consulted first.
