The "Central Building Public Catalogue Room" as it looked in
May 1911 when the New York Public Library first opened to the public.
The name of the room was changed to The Bill
Blass Public Catalog Room in January 1994 to honor Mr. Blass (1922-2002),
a long-term and generous Library Trustee.
