Harriet Jacobs: A Life is the first biography on Harriet Jacobs, author of Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, one of the most widely read slave narratives of all time. Join biographer Jean Fagan Yellin in a book celebration exploring the remarkable life of one of the most important black woman writers of the nineteenth century.
