Velmanette Montgomery, Chair of the Committee on Children and Families, NYS Senate. Opening remarks by Hon. Dennis M. Walcott, Deputy Mayor for Education and Community Development.
Discussion will include Brown v. Board of Education, the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, and their implications for children and young people today, along with perspectives from key legislators on major issues with a focus on children in New York City and State.
