The librarians at the Science, Industry and Business Library provide an instruction program that includes public training and customized training for groups by request.

To request instruction for your class, group, or business, please fill out the form, or call 212-592-7024 to speak to SIBL’s Training Coordinator.
Please request a group training session 2-4 weeks in advance, and include alternate dates.

Customized training may be based on an existing class or may focus on electronic resources and collections customized to your group. Teachers may request a class customized to their students’ research assignment.

Classes are given in the Elizabeth and Felix Rohatyn Electronic Information Center. Training rooms are equipped 15 computers and LCD projection. Instructors or group leaders must be present during training.

Classes are 60 to 90 minutes. Research time in a classroom may be available after the session. Evening sessions are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, and end at 7:30 pm.

You will be contacted about your request within 3-4 business days. Phone inquiries about group training may be made by calling the Training Coordinator at (212) 592-7024.

Please fill in the Group Request Form.
