New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
The Line King, which presents the largest library collection of artwork and archival material by renowned artist Al Hirschfeld, commemorates the 110th anniversary of the artist's birth and celebrates the Al Hirschfeld Foundation's latest gift of his papers and objects to the Library for the Performing Arts. This exhibition of drawings, paintings, prints, posters, and ephemera spans the lengthy career of the artist best known for his signature calligraphic portraits.
