Don't Miss Daring Methods: The Prints of Mary Cassatt
Now through Sunday, June 23, 2013
Stephen A. Schwarzman Building
Don't miss your chance to see this free exhibition celebrating the extraordinary works of American artist Mary Cassatt. Best known for her paintings of women and children, Cassatt was also a prolific printmaker. Although her subjects tended to be traditional, her approach to printmaking was bold. Daring Methods features nearly 80 of Cassatt's works from 1879 to 1898, including her sole lithograph, In the Theater, and other rare impressions. Come and explore her first tentative steps in the medium, which culminated with her highly accomplished and technically dazzling color prints.
