The New York Public Library’s Columbus Branch To Close Until September For Building Improvements

Share

In order to better serve New Yorkers, The New York Public Library is improving infrastructure at its Columbus Library location. The branch will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, June 3, to facilitate upgrades to its heating and cooling systems. The Columbus Library is scheduled to reopen in September 2013.

While repair work is going on, patrons of the Columbus Branch are encouraged to use the Riverside Library at 127 Amsterdam Avenue or the 58th Street Library at 127 East 58th Street. All holds originally set for pickup at the Columbus Library will be delivered to the 58th Street Library for the duration of this construction.

The Library thanks New Yorkers for their cooperation while these important improvements are being made.
