The odds were apparently in its favor. Across all age groups, Suzanne Collins's award-winning 2008 dystopian novel The Hunger Games, which was released as a wildly popular film adaptation last March, took home the crown as most checked out title at NYPL in 2012. Among adults, Walter Isaacson's biography Steve Jobs came in first and Tedd Arnold's Fly Guy vs. the Flyswatter! garnered the top spot among children's books. In DVDs, Midnight in Paris won the adult category and Hugo was the most popular movie for kids.
