President Obama Announces The New York Public Library's David S. Ferriero as Nominee for Archivist of the United States

July 29, 2009 - New York, NY - The New York Public Library congratulates our colleague David S. Ferriero, Andrew W. Mellon Director of the New York Public Libraries, for his selection by President Obama as the next Archivist of the United States, National Archives and Records Administration.

"David Ferriero is an outstanding librarian and manager who has made huge and lasting contributions to The New York Public Library," said Catherine C. Marron, Chairman of The New York Public Library’s Board of Trustees.
