Harry and the Potters Perform July 5 in a Free Concert at The New York Public Library's Donnell Library Center

Library Transforms Into Hogwart's School of Rock

Harry and the Potters (Paul and Joe DeGeorge) return to Donnell Library Center on July 5.

Harry and the Potters, the rock band whose inventive style and sound are based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books, headline a free concert on July 5 at The New York Public Library's Donnell Library Center. The group's performance at Donnell Library Center last July was named one of the top live shows of 2005 by Pitchforkmedia.com. Back at the Library by popular demand, Harry and the Potters will perform following their opening act, fellow wizard-rock band Draco and the Malfoys. The concert kicks off at 3:00 p.m. in Donnell Library Center's Auditorium at 20 West 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Admission is free.

Harry and the Potters, the Boston trio led by brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge, perform clad in Hogwart's uniforms with a punk edge. Joe as "Harry Year 4" and Paul as "Harry Year 7" perform their cleverly written lyrics and classic indie-rock sounds for book lovers and music lovers alike. Harry and the Potters are currently on their summer tour of the United States. Kids, teens, adults, squibs, wizards, and witches are all invited to attend this free concert.
