Lennard Camarillo and Arlene Lozano Chicali R&B Concepts showcases Chicano culture through a full-service restaurant dining experience in vibrant urban neighborhoods in large cities outside the Southwest. Its first venture, Cholo Noir, is a 1,500 square foot restaurant and bar in Manhattan's Lower East Side depicting the Chicano lifestyle, which began with the 1940’s polished Zoot Suit (Pachuco) and evolved into the 1960’s era of Mexican American youth rebellion (Cholos). A musical vibe with Lowrider soul and blues compilations, Latin Boogaloo, and current popular Latino artists will envelop diners for a complete Chicano experience.
Kelly Childress Infinite Yoga Studio opens in September, 2014, featuring a serene, beautiful, and well-lit facility in Upper Manhattan with both an in-studio and online boutique. Teachers certified at the highest (RYT500) level who provide private, semi-private, and small group classes focusing on safety and yoga philosophy will bring their loyal customers with them.
