Immigrant-owned businesses too often lack a succession plan to continue operating when the owner retires, dies suddenly, or is forced to stop working because of personal issues. Rather than being sold for fair market value, these businesses abruptly close their doors. Neighborhoods lose out and workers lose jobs.

These interactive sessions were offered at NYPL’s business library SIBL in fall 2014. In the winter and spring of 2015 the Blueprint series will be offered at the Brooklyn Public Library and Queens Library.
