  • Conflict: The History of the Korean War, 1950-53 by Robert Leckie, published 1962. A book about the Korean Conflict only nine years after the end of the conflict. This book provides a different perspective of the war and opinions of the time.
  • The Korean War: A History by Bruce Cumings, published 2010. A more current look at the Korean War and impact on the people of Korea and the United States.
  • The Coldest Winter by David Halberstam, published 2007. The Korean War from a journalist point of view. Halberstam attempts to bring back the Korean War and shed light on elements unknown to the general public.
  • Pork Chop Hill, DVD, 1999. This is a re-enactment of a battle to capture a crucial hilltop in the Korean War. Stars Gregory Peck.
  • M.A.S.H., DVD, 1970. This classic film (based on a book and later turned into the popular TV show) centers around a medical personnal unit during the Korean War.
  • The Steel Helmet, DVD, directed by Samuel Feller in 1951. This film takes a first hand look at a group of soldiers in the Korean War. Fuller does not shy away from the horrors of the war and brings those front and center in his film.
