About LGBT@NYPL
LGBT@NYPL has been created to connect Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities with the exciting resources, services, and expertise that The New York Public Library has to offer. The Library has archives of international importance; exciting programs with major scholars, artists, and activists; outreach to LGBT teens and seniors, and also wide-ranging materials for both research and personal interest—all offered at 87 branch libraries and four research centers in New York City, and internationally through our website. The website is supported through the generosity of our corporate partners and foundation support:
Initial funding for LGBT@NYPL provided by

The Getty Foundation
The Overbrook Foundation
It also connects you with the Library’s LGBT Committee, which is dedicated to raising funds to support world-class collections and services for the LGBT community.
