Overview of NYPL's Two Catalogs
In an effort to provide our users with the best possible service, NYPL constantly strives to improve the tools users can use to find books and other materials in our catalog. Historically, NYPL allowed users to search for and check out materials through a catalog interface called WebPAC Pro. This traditional catalog worked well for many of our users, but we recently launched a new catalog, powered by an outside company called BiblioCommons, that we think offers our users even better search results, along with the ability to take advantage of collaborative features such as posting comments, sharing book lists, and sending other users messages online.
In order to learn more about these collaborative features and about BiblioCommons in general, please click here. Because these new features collect more personal information from users, we also encourage you to click here to learn more about the information collected by NYPL and BiblioCommons in connection with these new features and services. If, at any time, you decide that you would like to search for and check out materials using NYPL’s traditional catalog interface, please click here to use WebPAC Pro.
