Social Media Week NYC at NYPL

Some of the biggest names in technology and media--Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Google--will come together the week of February 7, 2011, to celebrate Social Media Week. NYPL hosts several workshops durning the five-day event. On February 8, 2011 join geo-spatial librarian Matt Knutzen on a panel about socializing history with maps at 11 a.m., and eCommunications Manager Johannes Neuer on a panel about social media staffing--moderated by Marketing Director Susan Halligan--at 2 p.m. There are hundreds more events throughout the city--and they're all FREE and open to the public. Registration begins January 11.
