Grand Central Library

Grand Central Library will be closed temporarily beginning July 7, 2014, in order to facilitate necessary upgrades to the building. The branch is scheduled to reopen July 14, 2014. 
During this temporary closure, hold requests may be picked up at the nearby 58th Street Library located at 127 East 58th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues (212-759-7358).
 

The Grand Central Branch is conveniently situated for commuters and area workers as well as families living to the east. Boasting 45 computers, 32 of which are laptops, there are outlets and data ports located at the bar-height seating looking out on 46th street.

Grand Central has collections of DVDs, CDs, large print, paperbacks, and popular fiction and nonfiction for adults, teens, and children

Grand Central is also the new home of Teen Central hosting their collections and programs. All of this contained in the 12,000 square foot, two-story, light-filled space.
