Careers, Jobs, Small Business Seminars, Starting and Growing Your Business: Storytelling Strategies for Small Businesses

June 13, 2013

Program Locations:

Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL), Conference Room 018
As a small business owner, you must create the best coaching programs, write the most compelling books or produce the tastiest cupcakes to serve your customers and delight your clients. And integrating your personal story in your communications and interactions can help you stand out in the crowd.

Regina D’Alesio discusses how small businesses can leverage public speaking opportunities to connect with clients and expand their reach.

The discussion includes:
  • Clarify your story, purpose and message
  • Create smart strategies to deliver your message to the right people
  • Integrate your story into blog posts, website content, marketing materials and social media
  • Engage new customers through public speaking engagements

Regina D’Alesio spent her early career as an associate television producer for cable networks including National Geographic, Discovery Channel and the Weather Channel. Moving into the corporate space as a conference and event producer she worked with speakers from top companies including Zappos, American Heart Association, Nordstrom, McDonald’s and more. While in this role, she coached executives to create compelling speeches, understand the needs of attendees and execute a presentation that is both informative and engaging.

Seating is on a first come, first seated basis unless otherwise noted.
