The Upper Manhattan Business Solutions helps the business community of New York City find efficient solutions to common business problems. NYC Business Solutions offers free, quick, and reliable information on: starting a business; working with government regulations; securing financing; hiring and training employees; finding real estate; accessing incentives; selling to the government; obtaining Minority and Women-Owned Business Certification; and coping with emergencies.

NY WasteMatch is a free service, created and funded by the NYC Department of Sanitation, which facilitates the exchange of used and surplus goods and equipment from organizations that no longer need them to other entities that do.

NYC WasteMatch keeps valuable resources out of the waste stream while offering clients an opportunity to save money and lower their environmental impact. Our clients include New York City businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) develops - in collaboration with the Director of the Office of Acquisition Management Division (OAM), the Office of Administration and Resources Management (OARM), and EPA senior-level officials - programs to stimulate and improve the involvement of small business, minority business, labor surplus areas and women-owned business enterprises in the overall EPA procurement process. The OSDBU is also responsible for establishing policy and providing procedural guidance for the utilization of small, minority and women-owned businesses under the Agency

One Flushing is a community-based economic development center in Flushing, Queens, founded by AAFE in December of 2011. The One Flushing’s objective is to empower small business owners and local residents to identify resources, advocate for policy reforms and to create economic opportunity. It leverages the community’s rich heritage to develop innovative strategies for economic revitalization and cross-cultural collaboration.  One Flushing provides technical assistance, assists entrepreneurs in acquiring low-interest loans and in accessing government resources and offers training to assist business owners in meeting their goals. One Flushing is dedicated to creating mutual support networks for those seeking jobs and business assistance.  One Flushing advocates for city services and resources to address the challenges small businesses face. One Flushing works closely with AAFE’s Renaissance Economic Development Corporation.  Services are available in English, Chinese and Korean.
