Between the Lines: Father Michael Lapsley

October 30, 2012

Program Locations:

Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Langston Hughes Auditorium

Father Michael Lapsley’s story is one of courage and hope. Written in collaboration with Stephen Karakashian and with a Foreword by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, it tells the story of a young priest who was sent by his religious order from his birthplace in New Zealand to South Africa to encounter the brutality of apartheid repression, the liberation movement.
