Introduction to Portrait Drawing

Riverdale Library
This free drawing workshop taught by Josh Millis, is an introduction and investigation into portrait drawing as a subject in both historical and contemporary art. Through sequential activities that focus on observation and the use of various drawing media including pencil and charcoal, participants will develop a greater understanding of the form and subtleties of the drawn portrait.
Registration is required by March 14, 2013. Participants who must be ages 55+ will be chosen by lottery. Please call the branch to add your name to the list. Those selected will be notified approximately 1 week be the class and will be expected to attend all sessions.
