About the Pelham Bay Library
The Pelham Bay Branch of The New York Public Library opened in 1976 with the fervent support of community leaders who fought to see it become a reality.
The branch is a spacious brick building located on the corner of Middletown Road and Jarvis Avenue. It serves a predominantly Italian and Irish community in the Pelham Bay and Country Club sections of the Bronx. Fully accessible to persons who use wheelchairs, the one-story facility houses adult, young adult, children's, and reference collections. A meeting room is available for community group meetings as well as library programs.Contact us!
