Before sending donations to the Gregory Hines Collection of American Tap Dance, please contact the Dance Division by e-mail (email@example.com) or telephone (212-870-1657) so that the Dance Division staff can assist you with your donation.
In making a donation to the Dance Division it is important to provide background information on the donated item. For instance, in the case of a videotape donation, this information would include the title of the performance and the choreography, the date and place of the performance, the choreographer, the dancers, the videographer, and the set, costume and lighting designers.
Below is a checklist of helpful background information to consider.
Video and film
- Name, address, phone, and e-mail address of contributor
- Title of performance
- Date and place of performance
- Title of choreography
- Names of dancers
- Length of performance
- Set, costume and lighting designers, if known
- Where taped and by whom
- Description of subject (persons pictured, title of choreography)
