The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts — celebrated for its extensive archival collections, and benefiting from a recent extensive renovation — is now making its facilities available for rent!
LPA’s spaces can accommodate a variety of events:
Located in the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts complex on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, LPA is easily accessible via Lincoln Center Plaza or West 65th Street. Convenient to all forms of public transportation, cars and trucks, with nearby parking facilities, it is surrounded by restaurants, hotels, shopping, and other cultural attractions.
The Bruno Walter Auditorium, located at the Amsterdam Ave. and 65th St. entrance, is an ideal location for screenings, readings, panel presentations, and live performances. Named for the distinguished German-born American conductor, it can accommodate audiences of up to 202, in an intimate and inviting space, and is fully ADA-compliant.
The newly-renovated auditorium features exquisite acoustics for live performances, and supports audio/video projection in a variety of formats.
After a performance in the BWA, the perfect spot to gather is in our adjacent Green Room, which can accommodate up to 30 guests, with separate dressing room and shower facilities. The dimensions of the Bruno Walter

With a conveniently located street entrance, the Amsterdam Lobby is the perfect setting for a cocktail reception for up to 100 guests. Our two-tiered lobby allows for a variety of catering arrangements. The space keeps you close to Lincoln Center but away from the noise and rush of Broadway. The dimensions of the Amsterdam Ave. lobby: 8,000. sq.ft.

Looking out onto Lincoln Center, the Plaza Level Lobby is a great location for meetings, luncheons, and receptions. It can host up to 200 guests in an easily accessible location. The dimensions of the Lincoln Center Plaza level lobby: 17,650 sq.ft
Located on the upper floor of the Plaza Lobby, the Miriam and Harold Steinberg Reading Room can seat 40 for business meetings or lectures.
