Summer Loan
As the concert season draws to an end, I would like to remind you all that the Orchestra Collection will be closed during the months of July and August. The last day of service will be Thursday, June 28th. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 4th.
For those of you who need to borrow material over the summer, you may do so starting Tuesday, June 5th. You may check out up to 10 items for summer loan, provided that your account is in good standing. Any materials checked out during June will be due back by the 18th of September, the third Tuesday that the collection will be open for the 2012/2013 season. You need not wait until then to return your materials, as you may always return any music to the Circulating Music desk on the second floor. Feel free to ask the librarian for a receipt as proof that it has been returned.
As usual, you may place material on reserve up to a month before you plan on checking it out. Holds may be placed either by telephone (212-870-1624) or via e-mail (orchlib@nypl.org).
I also encourage you to utilize the OC catalog on our website before making requests: http://legacy.www.nypl.org/research/lpa/circ/catalog.cfm
I hope you have all had a successful concert season, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Cheers,
Paul Greenhaw
Orchestra Collection Librarian
