Circulating Collections

Self-service copy machines are located on the 1st floor.
Printing from computer workstations is available throughout the library.

Research Divisions

Copy services are available on the 3rd Floor.
You must seek the approval of a librarian in order to copy research materials.

For conservation reasons, photocopying of rare and fragile materials may be restricted. Such items may often be reproduced by other means, including NYPL’s Premium Services.

General research materials (books and periodicals) may be copied, after approval, on self-service copiers on the 3rd floor.Special Collections materials used in the Katharine Cornell-Guthrie McClintic Special Collections Reading Room will be copied by library staff only, after approval, as follows:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays:
Copy requests made before 2pm will be available after 3pm.
Copy requests made between 2pm and 4:30pm will be available after 5:30pm.
Please Note: requests must be made by 4:30pm for same-day service.
Copy requests made after 4:30pm will be available the following business day.

Mondays and Thursdays:
Copy requests made before 2pm will be available after 3pm.
Copy requests made between 2pm and 4:30pm will be available after 5:30pm.
Copy requests made between 4:30pm and 6:30pm will be available after 7:30
Please Note: requests must be made by 6:30pm for same-day service.
Copy requests made after 6:30pm will be available the following business day.

Please note: patrons may receive up to 25 copies within a given day, and larger orders will be accepted for next business-day pickup or mailing. Patrons should plan accordingly and prioritize copy orders.

Black & white:
8 ½" x 11 and 8 ½" x 14" $0.25 per page
11" x 14" $0.50 per page

Color (print materials only):
8 ½" x 11" $1.00 per page

Mailing (domestic and international):
9 copies or fewer $5.00
10 copies or more $10.00
