The Interview with Keith Lee, conducted by Barbara Cole, was audio recorded on August 12, 2010.

He begins with a brief story of Tudor’s opinion of Lee’s wardrobe at the time. Lee then recounts rehearsing Tudor’s Dark Elegies and the extraordinary way that the choreographer prepared him to perform this work.
The Oral History Project Interview with Keith Lee was made possible with assistance from the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. You can listen to the interview in its entirety on-site on the third floor of the Library for the Performing Arts.
