Presented in partnership with the Irish Film Institute, Hidden Ireland: A Celebration of Ireland in Documentary Film is a documentary film series offering insights into contemporary Irish life and into the past that has shaped it. It includes a range of sometimes conflicting perspectives from indigenous and foreign filmmakers, both amateur and professional. The films, which are drawn primarily from the IFI’s Irish Film Archive collection, will be introduced by US and Irish speakers.

This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition
IRELAND    AMERICA    The Ties that Bind
on display in the Library’s Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery through August 13. The exhibition and associated programs are part of Imagine Ireland: a year-long season of contemporary Irish arts in the US in 2011, an initiative of Culture Ireland.
