The Fourteenth Juror by Twist Phelan

Detective Ebanks let Martinez the rookie do most of the talking to the judge. A recent murder trial before the judge had ended in a hung jury. Then the accused died in a home accident and the jury foreman died in a car accident. Coincidence? Ebanks doesn’t think so.

Tommy didn’t mean to steal things, except some things he just had  to have, like the Power Rangers pencil case he could see his reflection in. But now Momma reallywanted Tommy to make a good impression on her new boyfriend Bo.
