Author @ the Library: "Mapping Manhattan: A Love (and Sometimes Hate) Story in Maps by 75 New Yorkers," with Becky Cooper, an award-winning writer and cartographer.
Thursday, July 11, 2013, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Program Locations:
Mid-Manhattan Library (Map and directions)
Fully accessible to wheelchairs
Armed with hundreds of blank maps she had painstakingly printed by hand, the creator of mapyourmemories.com walked Manhattan from end to end. Along her journey she asked New Yorkers—notable and otherwise—to “map their Manhattan” and to mail the personalized maps back to her. She will talk about the New Yorkers who contributed maps to her project.
