Author @ the Library: "Leaving Without Losing: The War on Terror after Iraq and Afghanistan," with Mark N. Katz, Ph.D., Professor of Government and Politics at George Mason University.
January 7, 2013
Program Locations:
Mid-Manhattan Library
This lecture will explore tha exit strategies for the United States in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Can the U.S. formulate an effective policy with regard to the War on Terror now that it has withdrawn from Iraq and is in the process of withdrawing from Afghanistan? Professor Katz argues that looking to its Cold War experience after it withdrew from Indochina could help the U.S. find better strategies for employing America's scarce resources to deal with its adversaries now.
