The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building provides two supervised, no-fee checkrooms as a service to readers and visitors. One is located on the first floor opposite the Library Shop near the Fifth Avenue entrance. The other is located at the 42nd Street entrance.

The Library offers tours of the building as well as exhibitions. Free docent-guided tours for walk-in visitors are available.

All reading rooms at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building have free public access computers providing varied access to library catalogs and selected electronic databases. Some reading rooms provide computers with access to specialized databases. Internet access is available in several rooms on the third floor of the Library.
