About the Library

Interior view of Throg's Neck

The Throg's Neck Branch of The New York Public Library, located at the intersection of East Tremont Avenue and the Cross Bronx Expressway Extension, was opened in September 1974. Fully accessible to people who use wheelchairs, the one-floor facility houses an adult, young adult, and children's collection. A large mural celebrating Sesame Street adorns the north wall of the courtyard adjacent to the children's room.
