Research Services

Interlibrary Loan provides access to library materials that are not available in the New York metropolitan area through agreements with libraries throughout the country.

METRO referral cards provide courtesy access to many academic, school, public, and special libraries throughout New York City and Westchester County.

The Manhattan Research Libraries Initiative (MaRLI) offers approved NYPL cardholders the ability to borrow select research library material for at-home use. Additionally, MaRLI participants will be granted access to select materials owned by Columbia University and NYU.
