Fee Schedule - Research & Document Delivery

Premium Research Fees

Express $200.00 Per hour Within 3 hours
Rush $140.00 Per hour Same or next day
Weekly $100.00 Per hour 5 business days
Standard $60.00 Per hour 4 weeks
  • Time is billed in 15-minute increments.
  • Monetary or time restrictions may be placed on a project.
  • In addition to the time spent searching, you will be charged for time required for retrieving and returning items as well as preparing materials to be sent.
  • You will be billed for search time even if the information/image requested is not found

  • Express service - Not available for all items.
  • For lengthy documents, there is a surcharge of $10 for each 50-page grouping beyond the first 50 pages.
  • Incorrect/incomplete citations - $15.00 search fee. For items which cannot be located with the citation provided, $50 research service fee will apply.
  • Certifications - $25.00 plus the cost of the document.

Documents provided from outside the NYPL collection

$50 + cost of supplier varies, generally within 24-48 hours
  • If the citation provided cannot be found in WorldCat, a $50 research fee will apply, whether or not the document can be supplied.
