Services for Residents of Nursing Homes and Other Adult Residences
The Library works with nursing homes, assisted living residences, and other adult homes in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island whenever possible. Since these residents may no longer be able to visit the library in person, we bring library services to them.
Outreach Services can help make arrangements for the following services to nursing homes and other adult residences:
- Visits from library staff to talk about library programs and services
- Read Aloud Programs
- Book or Short Story Discussions
- Deposit Collections of Books
- Bi-Folkal Kits (Multisensory Programming Kits)
- Books-By-Mail Service
- Talking Book and Braille Service
