Chief Operating Officer
After building a successful career in finance, David G. Offensend decided to bring his talents to the non-profit world, joining The New York Public Library in 2004 as Chief Operating Officer. Before founding Evercore, Offensend spent five years in the investment organization of Texas investor Robert M. An active member in the philanthropic community, Offensend serves on the boards of Princeton University, Hudson Global, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, and Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, and is a Trustee Emeritus of the Brooklyn Children’s Museum.
Offensend received a BA, magna cum laude, in public and international affairs from Princeton University, and an MBA, with high distinction, from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
