Library Lions 2013

On Monday, November 4, 2013 The New York Public Library celebrated its 2013 Library Lions: Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Katherine Boo, Junot Díaz, Marilynne Robinson, and Stephen Sondheim. These outstanding individuals have made a lasting impact on our culture and on our city, and we were honored to shine a light on their accomplishments.

The New York Public Library has long served as a home for millions of New Yorkers in search of knowledge, and the tools to create new ideas and new lives. In an increasingly connected society, seekers from around the globe are able to benefit more than ever from NYPL’s resources, and we are proud to serve them in our role as the world's great public library. None of our work would be possible without the support of our outstanding family of donors.
