This year's Library Lions gala, held on Monday, November 7, 2011, brought together over 500 guests to honor six distinguished individuals for excellence in their respective fields of arts, letters, and scholarship. Our 2011 Library Lions include acclaimed author Jonathan Franzen, celebrated playwright Tony Kushner, award-winning author Ian McEwan, songwriter Natalie Merchant, internationally renowned author Stacy Schiff, and Pulitzer Prize winner Isabel Wilkerson.
