Menopause
In the developed world, the percentage of women over 50 years of age has tripled in the last 100 years. During this period, women's life expectancy in the United States has increased from 50 to 81.7 years, meaning that more than one third of life will be lived in postmenopause.-Office of Research on Women's Health, National Institutes of Health
