New York City Newspaper Collection
The Library’s collection of New York City newspapers ranges from the first paper published in the city, Bradford’s New-York Gazette in 1725, to today’s copy of the New York Times. The collection includes both general New York City papers, such as the New York Post and the Daily News, as well as local papers like the Villager and the Bronx Home News.Click here for a list of these papers held in microform. Keep in mind that this is not a complete list of all New York City newspapers that are in the library’s collection, as some titles are not on microform but in bound print copies or available online. To search our library’s catalog, CATNYP, for newspapers published in New York, do a subject search for the phrase: New York N.Y. Newspapers.
