Every day, there are headlines about destabilizing phenomena such as ISIS, the Syrian refugee crisis, and brinksmanship between North and South Korea. In this session, we will look at both the overall state of the world’s economy and the implications of some current events for both investors and everyday citizens as they navigate an increasingly inter­connected global marketplace.

Presented by Chris Meeske

Chris Meeske is a Senior Research Analyst at Gerstein Fisher.  As part of the investment strategy group, Chris coordinates and supports joint research projects with the Gerstein Fisher Research Center; conducts economic and market research on behalf of the investment team; and supports the client advisory team in the creation of market and investment strategy insights and investor education materials. Prior to business school, Chris worked for five years at Gerstein Fisher in both investment strategy­and research­related capacities. He began his career at Gerstein Fisher assisting in the development of the firm’s portfolio management database and trading software, and later contributing to several aspects of the firm’s investment management process and strategy. Chris received a BA from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Rutgers Business School with a specialization in finance.
