Women’s Jazz Festival: Alicia Hall Moran & Mal Devisa
Performer and composer, Alicia Hall Moran, presents her project, Black Wall Street, a staged concert depicitng a story about money and the lesser-known tale of Black American finance in New York City - and beyond. This dynamic body of work is a colloboration wtih classical Indian musicians and pulls from the histories of Black Wall Street, the Tulsa Race Riots and so much more.
Solo, bass, vocal,soul, loop, Mal Devisa, makes her Shomburg Center Women's Jazz Festival debut.
The Schomburg Center's Women's Jazz Festival 2016 is curated by Toshi Reagon, singer, composer, producer and activist.
