In this lecture-recital, Dr. Daniel Beliavsky, pianist, explores the development of the tonal system in the 18th and 19th centuries, and its dissolution and revitalization in the 20th and 21st centuries through performances of works by Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Harris, Foss, and Del Tredici.

The Library for the Performing Arts is proud to offer free admission to this program on a first come, first served basis. Admission lines form one hour prior to each program. At that time one ticket is provided per person. Tickets are not available for advance reservation and saving seats is not permitted. General admission seating.
