Children's Literary Salons: Blurred Lines - Accuracy and Illustration in Nonfiction

Saturday March 7, 2015 2-3pm: South Court Auditorium

What is the responsibility of an illustrator when working on a piece of historical nonfiction for kids?  Do words garner closer scrutiny and, if so, why?  Join a distinguished panel of Mara Rockliff (author), Brian Floca (winner of the Caldecott Medal 2014 for Locomotive), Nicole Raymond (editor), and Sophie Blackall (illustrator/author) as they tackle these and other thorny questions.

*NYC educators who attend this session will be eligible for 1 hour of PD credit if registered in advance (please register through the link below)
