Thomas Chu, discusses  recent changes in federal and state law, policies, and procedures that affect taxation, government and employee benefits, and how assets are transferred after death depending on the marital status of same-sex couples. Find out about the benefits and burdens of marriage compared with domestic partnership or legal stranger status and ask your own questions as well.

 

Thomas K. Chu is an estate planning attorney practicing in lower Manhattan and a Candidate for Certified Financial Planner® certification. He is a member of PridePlanners, a national network of financial professionals serving the gay and lesbian community.
