Mark Strand comes to Books at Noon to discuss his latest work, Collected Poems.

Mark Strand is the author of many books of poems, a book of stories, and three volumes of translations, and he is the editor of several anthologies. He has received many honors and awards, including a MacArthur Fellowship, the Pulitzer Prize (for Blizzard of One), the Bollingen Prize, and the Gold Medal for Poetry from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In 1990, he was appointed poet laureate of the United States. 

Make the most of your lunch hour and come to The New York Public Library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Wednesdays this fall for Books at Noon, a series of free midday conversations with acclaimed authors. Books at Noon events are standing room only and take place under the center arch in historic Astor Hall. An audience Q&A and book-signing will follow each half-hour program.
