Job Seeker Action Meeting

The Library is opening its doors to the VISIONS Workforce Development team. VISIONS Job Seeker Action Meetings are for people who are legally blind and actively looking for employment. Job Seekers meet with peers and discuss tactics for networking and employment. Topics include improving one’s resume, cover letter tips, preparing for the interview, job search strategies, adaptive technology, labor market trends, current events and general discussion. It is also a place to find support and exchange ideas. Participants complete assignments and keep a log of successful job search activities that lead to interviews and employment.
