Let's Talk about Chat: Skype for IOS

This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to Skype, an application that lets users communicate using text, voice or video chat. This session will focus on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch users. We'll cover:
-Making, taking and ending calls
-Communicating with video or text
-Adding, removing and inviting contacts
-Accessing history
-Muting a call
-Calling multiple participants


Please set up a free account at skype.com and install Skype on your IOS device before registering for this workshop. If you need help with that, let us know and we can arrange to assist you prior to the workshop. You may register online or by calling (212) 621-0627.

Workshops at the Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library are designed with users of assistive technology in mind, but patrons with and without disabilities are always welcome. This particular workshop will focus on Skype for IOS from the perspective of patrons who use Voiceover and Zoom.
