First Fridays

June 6, 2014

Program Locations:

Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture

Come Celebrate Arturo Schomburg and Afro-Puerto Rican Pride this First Fridays. Check out our wonderful exhibits, sign-up for a membership, and visit our Schomburg Gift Shop while networking and dancing the night away in honor of Puerto Rican Pride. Beer tasting by Sugar Hill Beers.

Our DJ for the night will be DJ Rick. He started his career as a teenager throwing street "jams" in the streets of Washington Heights, making his way into several major NYC Clubs. This led him to producing and remixing major artists of our time; Rick's biggest success was remixing Snow’s multi-platinum hit, The Informer. Rick also landed a residency in one of the largest Latin nightclubs in the history of NYC, Studio 84.

FIRST COME, FIRST SEATED
For all free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. All registered seats are released 15 to 30 minutes before start time, so we recommend that you arrive early.
